Sunlight on Black Sand

Have you ever looked at a picture of a flower and it instantly brightens up your day?
This glowing flower full of sunlight is my gift to you as we start the month of October – an image from the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia featured on this month’s calendar page.

This tropical flower only blooms for one day.  In Tahiti, this specific hibiscus flower is called ‘purau’.
