Turtle Shell Necklace – porcelain carapace – pale blue

Description

Inspiration from the Pacific Ocean – porcelain turtle carapace – turtle shell necklace with pearls, and mother-of-pearl accents from my trips to French Polynesia.

Beige cotton cord, the Porcelain Carapace is stained with various oxides and glazes to render a very pale blue-ish tint in the crevices and measures approx. 2 inches long, with a pearl and a mother of pearl bead hanging an additional 1/2 inch.
The necklace opening is approx 27 inches with a lobster clasp in the front. Metal is hypo-allergenic.

The backside is smooth to the touch and unadorned.

The porcelain has been fired to cone 10.
