Hibiscus Silk Scarf – Purau
$140.00
Large Square Silk Hibiscus Scarf
Description
I teamed up with a manufacturer to print my photos onto silk. Reactive printed silk scarves perfectly portray my photography on silk fabric. This scarf features my photograph of wild hibiscus flower reflected on the water in Tahiti. In the Tahitian language, this flower is called ‘fleur de purau’.
The image is printed on lightweight 100% silk habotai, finished with a machine rolled baby hem. The print is permanent and will never fade with use or washing. Wear artwork in a luxurious way with this easy-to-wear silk scarf! The scarf is beautiful draped around the neck, over the shoulders, or tied on your head. Fluid and beautiful draped scarves are the perfect way to dress up any outfit and wear art where you go.
Reactive printing is a multistep process formulated for printing on natural fabrics. It involves 4 main steps: pretreating fabrics, printing, steaming and washing. It’s a long process but it’s worth it! All fabrics printed with a reactive process are fully washable with no fading and perfectly soft.
