Produced with one of my images of a monarch butterfly I raised on a skull.

A representation of life after death, the soul of a dearly departed one.

Each year around El Dia de los Muertos — celebrated Nov. 1 & 2 – the migrating butterflies arrive over the Mexican mountains to winter in the fir trees.  It is an amazing experience to see all the butterflies, I highly recommend it.  These same butterflies will commence the journey back north in the spring.
